FAQs

  • Is this something I need?
The purpose of therapy or assessment services is to help individuals develop a better understanding of themselves. A licensed clinician actively facilitates this process through evidence based approaches and empirically validated assessment tools. Schedule a free consultation to see if either of these services may be beneficial to you.
  • What can I expect in therapy?
You may expect a space where you will be listened to and respected. At the same time, the therapeutic process will often touch on sensitive topics and you may feel emotionally and intellectually challenged. I will do my best to create an emotionally safe holding space as we collaborate on strategies to achieve mutually agreed upon treatment goals.
  • What can I expect from an assessment?
A thorough assessment process typically occurs over two to three sessions, culminating in a comprehensive report and feedback session. An assessment battery may involve questionnaires, interviews with you and those who know you well, caregivers, teachers, and other clinician administered instruments.
Though I cannot guarantee a diagnosis, the process will provide important information about an individual’s strengths and areas of growth, which informs treatment recommendations.
  • Do you take insurance? How do I pay?
Lyra is accepted for therapy services. Credit, debit, or HSA cards are accepted via the SimplePractice platform.
A superbill can be provided upon request. It is the client’s responsibility to clarify their insurance coverage/reimbursement for out-of-network services.
